Treasure Hunt

After Pot Luck lunch this afternoon, we were sent on this treasure hunt. The Big H spent all afternoon searching for clues (we didn't always get them in the right order). He was not going to give up until he found it. I thought he was going to be at it all night. He found it buried under a lemon tree. It is locked and it can't be opened until our Marti Grais party. That's how you keep old people occupied.

It's Monday

Monday morning is golfing and line-dancing. Tonight is "Dine Around", which is eating at all the local eating places, that should be fun. Yesterday we went to the play "Greater Tuna" at the local community theatre. I have to thank the Big H, because he gave up the first playoff game to go with me. We did see the second game, which was really a good game. Tomorrow is music night again, and pot luck at noon. Wednesday night is the winter dance. Thursday is golf and line-dance again. Saturday is the city-wide rummage sale and Sunday Sally comes in.
A month has gone by already, it seems we just got here. Everyday is walks on the beach, it's been cool, but sunny and windy.
Alot of exercise, but all the eating is a problem,(a fun problem).

A Visit to Pandora

We went to see Avatar today. It was really beautiful, but wouldn't you know it the theater we went to didn't have it in 3-D, what a bummer. The Big H isn't into Sci-Fi, but he went with me.

Maybe Next Year

Our season came to an end for the Packers, they just about pulled it out. We watched the game at Jacquie's with Jim and Katie, and Carol and Laird. We had bought tickets for a chili supper from church, so we left for awhile. We didn't miss much of the game and got to see the end. The Chili supper was really nice, but I think I'm feeling the afteraffects of the wine.
This cold weather is supposed to come to an end. Howard has golf tomorrow and I have line dancing. Tomorrow night is game night.
Saturday I went to Corpus Christi with Jacquie to see a Nativity pagent at the Corpus Christi Catheral. It was just fantastic, beautiful singers, dancers and costumes. The choir, dancers, school kids must of numbered in the hundreds.

Golf and Line Dancing

Howard golfed today and I had my first line dancing. I'm sure glad I'm only in beginners. This afternoon we walked for 2 hours on the beach. I guess we had our exercise for the day.

Gulf of Mexico

We went to Corpus Christi today to see about getting the radio system fixed in the truck, it's going to take a month for a replacement. We sure are thankful for our Tom-Tom when we are driving around a strange area. It even found Wallbangers for lunch. Howard had to look over a golf course, it found that too.
I'm not listing any New Year's resolutions, because it's always the same one. We are just happy to be out of the snow and cold.
We live in the Frost compound, Carol and Jim are both in this same one. Doris will be in the one down around the corner with Jacquie.
We overdid the walking yesterday, so we didn't go as far today.

Remember the Alamo

I had to make a detour in San Antonio yesterday on the way to Port Aransas to make my pilgrimage to the Alamo. We grew up on stories about Davy Crockett (Fess Parker).
We arrived here yesterday afternoon. Carol and Laird are here already. We went to see Carl and Jacquie last night for New Year's Eve.
A sunny day today, I'm anxious to get out for a long walk after 3 days of sitting in the truck.
