I need to get out for a walk, I'm hoping it clears off by this afternoon. We're not used to being stuck inside.
Jen: Beautiful pictures, I shed a few tears. He was a good ole dog and sure loved his doggy treats, Im glad he had so many. I'll miss the face licks.

Something to Think About
We received information yesterday from People's Bank Travel Club. They are going to Austrailia and New Zealand for 3 weeks in Oct. The Big "H" objected to the price, but I think that can be worked out. They need 35 people to sign up, in these times that might be a tough sell. I hope there are 33 more who want to go. I won't get too excited until it gets filled. The time of year is perfect.

Bombs and Rockets
They are bombing at Lake George today, the first one they dropped I must have come off my chair a foot, I can only imagine what it feels like in Gaza. They must be big, because the cabin really shakes.
There has been a large rocket scheduled to be shot off from the Cape all week, but has been scrubbed, rescheduled for tomorrow night. The space shuttle goes up the middle of Feb.
My happy thought, we bought navel oranges at the market this week, 11" around (I measured) for $1.50 for 12. They are wonderful, does that count as 1 point?

That Darn Water
The Big H wanted this posted. I didn't make it over the water this time, but have been getting better. When I went across to the other side of the water to look for my ball a small gator was looking up at me, so needless to say I didn't reach in the water. We played about 6 holes with Tom, he takes care of the course. He is 83, but when he was younger he managed the golf course for Patrick Air Force Base, a nice man. I'm really not good enough to play with anyone.

Odds & Ends
Today starts the beginning of the year diet, I want to go shopping for new clothes. I have clothes drying on the line in the sunshine. The Big H is working at the golf course this morning. This afternoon he will be there golfing. My game is actually improving, there may be hope for me yet. I am doing a quilt square a month for my quilt guild. It's time to take a book outside for a few minutes.

2009
My first thoughts were "Bring it on!", but the last time I heard that phrase, things didn't go well. My second thought was who was shooting off fireworks last night until all hours.
My New Year's wish for you is Good Health, because with good health all things will follow. My goal for 2009 is to strive for a healthy lifestyle, but maybe after I go to Essex's for shrimp today. I hope to bring some sunshine into someones life every day and with the sun shining outside I think I'll start with me.
